Event details
The Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund is a key element of the Governments strategy for promoting the transition to EVs, by accelerating and scaling up the rollout of public EV charging infrastructure.
Since the LEVI programme was initially announced in 2022, there have been a number of challenges that have resulted in local authorities delaying their procurement plans. As all of the LEVI applicants to-date have received a Post Application Approval Plan (PAAP), to make amendments to their application prior to a tender, this is an opportunity for Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 local authorities and combined authorities to discuss these challenges and learn from Tranche 1 applications, to enable a faster route to market for Tranche 2 authorities.
This webinar is intended to serve as a practical guide and forum to help officers from Tranche 1 Local Authorities seeking to respond to PAAPs, or Local Authorities applying for Tranche 2. Our expert panel for this session will include local authorities leading the way with their LEVI applications, specialist consultants experienced in working on a range of LEVI applications and similar projects, and from local authorities who have been successful in securing fully private sector funded EV infrastructure.
The session will cover how to successfully set out your LEVI application, the common causes for amendments and how to address these, and alternative routes to EV charge point rollout beyond the LEVI fund.

I am responsible for countywide strategic planning of publicly available EV Infrastructure at North Yorkshire Council, securing £8.1m for the LA through successful bids to the LEVI Fund. Following local government reorganisation in April 2023, I have worked to establish an EV Infrastructure team, supporting me in developing the bids and responsible for the delivery of new infrastructure and management of the existing network of EVCPs across the 7 former district/borough organisations. NYC has been allocated funding in Tranche 1 of LEVI so we are fresh out of the application process.
